Nature Adventure Camp 2019

Experience Nature and the Outdoors with a Focus on Fun and Learning

Nature Adventures will once again offer day camp for Summer 2019. Open to kids ages 7-12, the camp will spend each day of the week in a different location. Whether it’s taking a boat ride to Capers Island for a day of exploration and beach combing or ziplining through the trees, this camp is a great way to unplug your child. There will be new experiences and new friends to encourage your child to step out of the box and into a wonderous adventure.

Each week will include trips to Capers Island, Birds of Prey, National, State or County Parks, Ziplining, and Kayaking and Paddleboarding. With an emphasis on discovery, your child will be chaperoned by competent adult counselors. Each morning your child will meet at our Shem Creek drop off location and be transported by our shuttle bus to the day’s activities. Proper attire and footwear, lunch and water, sunscreen, etc. are needed for each camper. Counselors help with reapplication of sunscreen and proper hydration.

Kayaking with dolphins

"Bryson was an excellent guide and took us an enjoyable paddle on Shem Creek. We saw several groups of dolphins swimming right beside us. We paddled out to the bird sanctuary and saw many brown pelicans and several newborns. Bryson gave us an excellent overview of the Charleston skyline and the history of its forts."

Paddle board and kayaking

"Even though it rained beforehand, it was worth the wait. And rain made the dolphins more active. Bryson was an awesome guide. It was a first for a friend an me and so much fun! Will definitely return!"

Fun, Relaxing, and Informative

"My wife and I took the kayak tour in the early morning. Neither of us had been on a kayak before, but our guide, Jim, had us feeling like pros in no time. The boat traffic was low that day and the water was very calm. Making the day a relaxing, yet fun, way to cap off our vacation."
