Couple's Retreats
Sunny South Carolina Coastal Retreat
September 21-23, 2012 - Monday thru Thursday, 2 nights
$325 per person
Located in the Beautiful historic Shrimping village of
McClellanville, SC including the Francis Marion National Forest and
the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge.
Day 1
Arrive at Coastal Home around 1:00 p.m. Get settled in from 1:00 –
2:30 p.m. Village Museum Visit at 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. followed by a
Sunset Champagne Paddle in Historic Shrimping Village of Jeremy
Creek at 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Return to Coastal Home followed by Dinner at 7:00-7:15 p.m. with
libations afterwards by campfire or in screened in porch overlooking
the water.
Day 2
8:00 – 8:30 a.m. Breakfast
9:00 a.m. – Leave for Blackwater Paddle into the Wambaw Swamp
Wilderness Area in the Francis Marion National Forest. 6-9 miles of
paddling depending on group dynamics. Return to Accommodations
around 4:00 p.m. Dinner at 7:00 p.m.
Day 3
8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Breakfast
9:00 a.m. – Hike to Santee Coastal Reserve IBA Washoo Reserve Nature
Conservancy Trail. Retreat Ends at 12 -12:30 p.m.
North Carolina Land of Waterfalls Couple's Retreat
October 11-14, 2012 - Wednesday thru Saturday
$495 per person
Located in the beautiful Smokey & Appalachian Mountains of Lake
Glenville/Cashiers and Highlands area of North Carolina.
Day 1
Arrive at our mountain / water cabin between 1 and 3 p.m. Get
settled into your bedrooms and enjoy social time! Then we'll embark
on a Sunset Champagne Paddle with Dinner on lake.
Day 2
Arise by 8 a.m. with Breakfast served from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Get ready to leave by 9:45 a.m. to go Kayaking on Emerald Green Lake
Glenville to the Waterfalls. We will pack our lunches and eat on an
island or shoreline while kayaking. The kayaking should end around
3:30 – 4:00 p.m. Return to cabin and relax for a wonderful Campfire
dinner cookout.
Day 3
Arise at 8 a.m. with breakfast served from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Get ready to leave by 9:45 a.m. to go Hiking in the beautiful
Horsepasture River Gorge. Here we’ll see 3 waterfalls along the way.
We’ll pack lunches and eat riverside by “bust yo butt” falls (it’s
real name). We’ll see lots of wildflowers and beautiful mountain
vistas. The hiking should end around 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. Explore town
of Cashiers and Highlands. Dinner at 7 p.m.
Day 4
Arise at 8 a.m. with breakfast served from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Pack your things and follow our guide to “Dry Falls” where you’ll
take a short hike and actually walk under a waterfall and view the
gorge! ……. Retreat ends at 12:00 noon
